Nicole is mompreneur who started Downtown Chic, an online fashion boutique for the modern working woman in November 2016. She wanted to share her passion for fashion and empower women to dress for success at work. Before Downtown Chic, Nicole worked in the corporate environment for over 12 years in major cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas and Miami.
Nicole quickly learned how important it was to dress for the job you want. There is no such thing as a second impression. She also noticed that it wasn’t just about how good you were at your job but how you presented yourself also mattered. Nicole discovered that by investing in her image more opportunities were presented to further her career and she wanted to share all her style tips with other women.
The curated collection at Downtown Chic is intended for the modern working woman that believes in dressing for success but also needs versatility in her wardrobe. Each item is carefully picked so that it could be styled for the day and easily transition into the night or the weekend. It’s all about maximizing your wardrobe and looking polished no matter what you do for a living.
In 2017 Nicole partnered with Dress for Success, a non-profit organization in Miami dedicated to empowering women to achieve financial independence. Nicole volunteers her time styling clients for their interview and donates 15% of sales from all her local pop-up shops.
